Golf has been my passion since the day I picked up a club, for the first time, at 14 years old. I fell in love with the sport and refined my skills quickly enough to play in high school and onto college. But, as a kid growing up in Lawrence, MA, I only ever aspired to do something with my life that impressed everyone but me: graduate from college with an accounting degree and settle into a lengthy, comfortable career. Golf, to me, was only ever a pipe dream; playing professionally was something that I never saw as possible or probable.
During my senior year of college, a perfect storm swept through my life: I was lucky enough to meet some very inspirational and successful mentors, I matured greatly, and my beliefs changed, all while I found myself more in love with the game of golf than ever before. The comfortable life that I once aspired to was dull and unfulfilling once I embraced the ability to accomplish anything I set my mind to. I now knew that with unwavering dedication and hard work, my "recreational" golf would end up being the fulfillment of my life.
At age 22, a few credits away from an accounting degree, I let go of all alternatives and committed myself to the pursuit of playing golf at the highest level - no matter the cost.
